It is hard to acknowledge that fall is right around the corner when the temperatures in the Smokies have still felt so summery! Luckily, amidst the plethora of fall events and activities that are popping up on the calendar, there are still plenty of summery things to do. This September, come soak up the end of the summer at Soaky Mountain Waterpark!

Soaky Mountain Waterpark is an fantastic, family-friendly waterpark in Sevierville, TN, snuggled right in the outskirts of Smoky Mountain National Park. If you love water activities, then you will find something to love at this waterpark- from lazy rivers to adrenaline-pumping water slides, there is something for guests of all ages and tastes. There are numerous fun attractions sprinkled across this 50 acre park. My personal favorite thing to do there is chill in the 35,000 square foot wave pool, which mimics the ocean. Active young kids will adore The Hive, a multi-story water playground. If you want more excitement, however, then you'll love the many water slide and tube options- or the Avalaunch water coaster!

I love that Soaky Mountain has a variety of food options expanding beyond typical waterpark eats. You can enjoy tacos, frozen yogurt, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, hot dogs, ice cream, cookies, fresh-squeezed lemonade, bottled water, Icees, and more! Guests are also given the option to leave the park for lunch and return later with their daily ticket.

This waterpark is tremendously popular in the summer, but many don't realize that it stays open for September weekends! In Tennessee, September is usually as hot as any other summer month, so it is still opportune for guests to check out waterparks at that time! The park will be open every weekend through the end of the month, from 10 AM until 6 PM. Keep an eye on the waterpark schedule as it is updated online.
Don't delay- plan a family trip to the Smokies and enjoy the last bit of summer heat! Spend a September weekend at Soaky Mountain Waterpark and make lots of memories that will carry over into the fall and beyond!
