In their recently released rankings for 2022, U.S. News named Gatlinburg one of the USA's 25 best small towns to visit. To make their list, a town has to have fewer than 50,000 residents, plenty of restaurants and attractions, and unique character. Gatlinburg snagged 15th place on this prestigious list!
Of Gatlinburg, U.S. News wrote: "Located in the heart of the Smokies, this Tennessee town offers both wild adventures and down-home charm. Gatlinburg is home to one of six entrances to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where you'll find 150 hiking trails that will surely please adventurers of all skill levels. Arrive in fall to admire stunning foliage while riding the Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway or venturing to the top of the Gatlinburg Space Needle. After taking in the scenery, learn about craftsmanship at the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community or take the kids to Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies."
