If you're looking for a way to try delicious, locally-produced foods while supporting small business, then you should stop by the Gatlinburg Farmers Market.
There are a large variety of food options at the market, including summer vegetables, meats, jams, sauces, baked goods, and crafts. Grab a cookie to munch on while you pick up some groceries and search for the perfect souvenir. Trust me when I say that there's nothing that compares to farmers market baked goods. In addition some markets will feature live music, so you'll be able to dance while you shop!
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the farmers market elected to open, but has pledged to stay small and quiet. Masks are required, but are also being sold at each market, so if you don't own one yet, you'll be able to pick one up. Their goal is to provide healthy food to the community while promoting public safety. In these tumultuous times, stay safe and eat local!
The farmers market is open on Saturdays from 8:30 AM until noon, all of the way through to mid-October. It is located at 1222 East Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN, across from Food City.
